Preheating - inductive with a deep effect!
It’s great that it’s quick, but you really benefit from it, especially with sensitive materials!
When do you need to preheat for welding work? Either when the material is very thick or when more sensitive materials such as fine-grain steels are involved.
Good example! Especially when, as in the case of fine-grain steel S960, irreversible coarse grain formation sets in from approx. 500°C, it is extremely important for preheating work never to exceed these temperatures. If conventional methods are used for heating, this means that every millimetre of material thickness must be penetrated by HEAT CONDUCTION. And heat conduction requires a temperature difference. However, precisely this difference is rather meagre due to the limited surface temperature.
Induction à la Alesco is completely different: here the heat is generated in depth and almost without excess temperatures! Even if you are particularly careful and reduce the power, the deep-acting profile is maintained. Hard to believe, it’s best to have a demonstration. One of our specialist dealers is also near you.
