Let’s be clear: the V5 is not a cheap device! It costs less than a V3, that’s true. But with the exception of the omitted refrigeration unit and the lack of upgrade options, no compromises have been made in terms of quality.
Nevertheless, the V5 is in no way a replacement for the V3. As soon as you have more than a few applications a day or regularly have to deal with non-ferritic materials such as chrome-nickel or aluminum, you will definitely reach the limits.
