“NM” field amplifier in series with A1200 and A4000

Even greater efficiency thanks to the ‘new material’

Comparison of the Metglas field amplifier (angular, flaky) and the NM field amplifier (rounded, smooth structure)

It has no name of its own, it has very strange physical properties, it can be processed as a solid material, but is quite brittle. We are talking about ‘NM’, the material that has been replacing the Metglas in the inductors of the Alesco A1200/4000 devices for some time now. For those who were familiar with the properties of Metglas, the surprise was great: even more power in the component, with an otherwise unchanged device.

The highlight: unlike the Metglas, overheating is hardly possible if the operating instructions are not followed. And if too much pressure on the inductor has worn away the copper and caused a leak, we at VauQuadrat can remove the NM field amplifier with a special tool and restore the copper. So you will hardly ever really need a new inductor.

Now the good news for our existing customers since 1998; the conversion to the NM field amplifier, i.e. the ‘repair’ of an old, defective inductor, works back to the Alesco A700 / 1000 / 1100 / 2000 / 3000 – and of course for all A1200 and A4000 ever built. So if you still have a burnt-out or otherwise worn inductor, you can have it made as good as new by us for a flat-rate upgrade fee.
